Kansai International Academy is currently seeking experienced kindergarten teachers for one of our 6 campuses Higashi Osaka, Ashiya, Hirakata, Akashi, Kyoto and Himeji. Kindergarten position:
Applicants should hold a working visa, a degree and have experience teaching English to young children in Japan. Teachers should also be energetic and creative educators who love to interact with and care for children. An Early Learning or Kindergarten/Elementary teaching qualifacation is strongly preferred.
We have an established and successful curriculum and a strong support network for our teachers.
The position involves teaching and caring for a class of up to eighteen students aged between 3 and 5 (depending on grade), with support from an experienced Japanese classroom assistant.
Working hours are 09:00am to 05:00pm Monday - Friday, with a typical week including around 20hrs teacing time. Travel expenses are paid up to a maximum of Y25,000 and private health insurance is provided in addition to salary (provision for those interested in, or currently enrolled in the Japanese official health insurance scheme can be made).
Vacations are comprised of 32 school holidays, 5 personal and sick days, and all National holidays.
The position will be vacant from April, with paid training commencing in the 2nd or 3rd week in March (depending on experience)
