iTTTi Japan’s Peppy Kids Club has been contracted by the Nagoya Board of Education to provide Assistant English Teachers (AET) to various junior and senior high schools in the greater Nagoya area. A handful of positions are still available.
The principal role of the Assistant English Teacher (AET) is to provide instructional assistance during English classes with the goal of improving the language ability of the students by exposing them to genuine communicative English and to enhance their knowledge of foreign cultures.
The standard work schedule is Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 4:15pm. Successful applicants will be expected to commit to a full school year, starting in early May 2010 and finishing in mid-February 2011. During the employment period, teachers will receive 3-weeks of paid vacation in the summertime and 2-weeks in the wintertime, as well as some flexible paid vacation days. Teachers will also be eligible for a bonus at the end of the contract term. SHAKAI HOKEN company insurance (including medical and pension) is also provided and single occupancy company apartments are available for teachers who require accommodations.
Applicants must be native English speakers and eligible for full-time work visas (Work Visa; Spousal Visa; Instructor Visa, etc.). Previous AET or ALT experience is preferred.
