I’m selling a gas (as in propane, not kerosene) heater that I no longer need. It’s a Rinnai “gas fan heater” (ガスファンヒーター), model SRC-305E. Included is the main heater unit and a 5 meter gas supply hose. Photos of both can be seen here:

The heater needs to be plugged in to operate, but it is NOT an electric coil heater. The electric power operates the temperature regulation and wake-up timer, but it’s the gas line that feeds the heater and is burned for heat. The heater hooks up to a standard gas valve, like you would hook a stove up to, and no tools are needed to attach the hose. You just need an extra gas valve in the house. If you don’t have one handy, you can call your gas company and easily have them attach a splitter to turn one existing valve into two. The unit is not exactly rectangular, but approximate dimensions are 42 cm tall x 45 cm wide x 16 cm deep.
A new, similar heater would run anywhere from 40,000 yen and up, as you can see at Rinnai’s website here (in Japanese): http://rinnai.jp/products/living/fan_heater/fh_lineup
I’m asking 10,000 yen for the set–both the unit and the hose included. If purchased new, the hose alone would cost more than 6,000 yen.
The heater is for pick-up only, at Toritsudaigaku station (in Meguro-ku) on the Tokyu Toyoko line (東急東横線) that runs between Tokyo and Yokohama. Available for pick-up evenings and weekends. Please email me at evan.odea AT gmail.com. Thanks.
